So if there is a phrase that sums up my 2019, I definitely think it would be, “Well, that didn’t go to plan!”.
From retiring my heart and soul dressage horse, to breaking my ankle in a nasty fall, to ending a long term relationship for the sake of my own happiness and wellbeing, there were certainly a lot of downs.
It wasn’t all bad though, and amongst the turmoil, I started my beautiful young horse I bred under saddle, I started seeing a totally foxy and inspiring man, who pushes me to believe in myself more and challenge my comfort zones, developed some of the best and closest female friendships I have ever had in my life, and my gorgeous son continued to show me at every turn what an awesome human being he is, with his kindness, resilience and crazy sense of humour.
So, while the dust settles on one of the most challenging years of my life, I look forward to 2020 with fresh eyes, a fresh focus and plans for a hell of a lot of fun with my beautiful horses and fabulous friends!
